Bioclimatic Consulting LA MONTESA

The objective is to determine the most profitable investment in energy savings with a maximum Payback of 7 years for the construction of a building destined to a residence for the elderly. The work methodology used for energy consulting is to study the behavior of various buildings/scenarios, and based on the results, to recommend the optimal combination of thermal envelope materials, air conditioning systems and implementation of renewable energies to achieve the goal of return on investment.

The buildings / scenarios analyzed are the following:

BUILDING A: EXISTING BUILDING
Annual energy consumption records of an existing building owned by the same customer and with the same use. Using these records, the energy ratios are extracted (such as € annual consumption / m², € annual consumption / bed) which will serve as a starting point to compare with the new scenarios to be simulated. On the other hand, it will also serve us to preliminarily evaluate the energy improvement potential in the existing building.
BUILDING B: CURRENT STATE
Building modeled from the memory of qualities and pre-project schemes of the architects. The annual operating costs are calculated and additionally the preliminary energy pre-certification is also carried out and the approximate costs of execution are requested from the client. The goal is to find the optimal combination of energy improvements with a maximum ROI of 7 years. CTE Energy Pre-Certification label is included
BUILDING C: CTE REGULATORY MINIMUM
Building with the same volume, distribution, operational conditions and typology of construction solutions and HVAC systems as BUILDING B, but with the minimum values required by the documents CTE-HE0-Limitation of energy consumption and CTE-HE1-Limitation of energy demand. This model will serve us to define the minimum requirements at the level of thermal envelope, HVAC installations and as a comparison reference at the level of operational costs. In addition, the preliminary energy pre-certification will be carried out and the approximate costs of execution will be requested from the client. CTE Energy Pre-Certification label is included.
BUILDING D: NZEB
Starting from the "La Montesa Current State" building, a series of simulations will be carried out to quantify the energy behavior of the building to improve the performance of the thermal envelope, the HVAC installations, and some additional tests such as example analyze a change in orientation of the building. From the hypotheses that give better results, the approximate execution costs will be requested from the client to calculate the returns on investment (ROI) of each measure. CTE Energy Pre-Certification label is included.
